How to Become a Member of PIE International
To become a member of PIE International, one must meet the requirements as shown here,
complete a membership application form, pay annual dues, and designate a voting
delegate. Members shall be representatives from two- and four-year regionally
accredited colleges or universities, companies, agencies, and/or individuals
in Iowa that support the mission of the Consortium.
- Educational Institutions:
- Members must demonstrate a commitment to international students, including
- International student services to assist students that enroll at their institutions, including the presence of an international student adviser;
- Approval by the U.S. Immigration and Naturalization Service or the USIA to issue appropriate visa eligibility forms;
- Exchanges or study abroad opportunities for students.
- Members should also be members of professional organizations that support good practices and codes of ethics such as:
- NAFSA
- The Association of International Educators
- AACRAO (the Association of Collegiate Registrars and Admissions Officers)
- NACAC (the National Association of College Admission Counseling)
- Other Members:
- Members must demonstrate support for and/or participation in international activities in Iowa such as:
- hiring international student interns
- bringing international employees or delegations to the state for education and training
- partnering with educational institutions, organizations and agencies to engage in internationally related activities
All members shall pay a fee and designate a representative to the Consortium.
