Spring 2016 Central American Counselor Visits - Five high school counselors from mexico, Honduras and El Salvador had the opportunity to travel to Iowa to explore StudyIowa institutions in both the East and West ends of Iowa.
StudyIowa member institutions believe in the power of partnerships. Almost every year, StudyIowa institutions provide opportunities for college counselors, EducationUSA advisors, Fulbright advisors, and individuals from selected educational or commercial service agencies to visit Iowa campuses. These sponsored visits provide an important means for educators to become acquainted with the high-quality education occurring at Iowa's colleges and universities. The following list highlights some of the past hosted visits.
Spring 2015 Pakistan Counselor Visit - Fourteen high school counselors and three EducationUSA advisors from Pakistan spent severa ldays touring StudyIowa universities and colleges and meeting with all members. The feedback from counselors was very positive and they were very impressed with the educational opportunities in Iowa.
Spring 2013 StudyIowa Activities StudyIowa Hosted Ms. Maya Sivakumar, Education USA/United States-India Educational Foundation Regional Officer from Chennai, India on a tour of the state and visit to five StudyIowa institutions. Here is a link to her picture!
June 2010 - Post – NAFSA (Kansas City, MO) Counselor/Advisor Visit
