2004 Colombia Counselor Visit
In May 17 - 21, 2004, PIE invited eight student counselors from Colombia to visit Iowa and our 14
member universities. They participated in tour of campus, workshops, meetings with university
faculty and staff, visited the State of Iowa Capital, and had meetings and meals with Colombian
students attending our campuses. The week ended with a college fair of all member institutions,
and a farewell reception in Cedar Rapids. Some of the counselors then attended the national
conference of NAFSA: Association of International Educators in Baltimore, Maryland.
